Did the ancient Greeks consider Titans to be gods alongside the Olympians? How were the Titans viewed? Were there any significant groups dedicated to venerating the Titans, or other non-Olympian figures in the Greek pantheon?

You'll probably find these previous threads of interest:

The executive summary would read:

  • the Titans were an integral part of the generational "succession myth" that shaped Greek theogony;
  • they weren't always necessarily a separate group, and some of them were considered to be still hanging around in the "now";
  • there were some regional festivals for one or other of the Titans, including Kronos(!), but we don't know a huge amount about them.
