I have been thinking about reading Brian Kilmeade's book Washington's Secret Six but have been put off by his strong connection to Fox News. I want to read an accurate and balanced account of Washington's spy network, but I don't trust the author's potential agenda. Does anyone have a perspective on this book? Is it accurate?
I haven't personally read it but if it interests you then might want to just go for it. It appears to be more of a historical narrative so don't expect it to be to scholarly. Just read with a critical eye so you are wary for anything that seems a little political. If something seems off, there's no harm in doing a double check.
I hope this helps.
