No offense, but I don't know if the premise of your question is exactly true. When I think of famous historical defenestrations the ones that come to mind are: Biblical Jezebel in Israel, Pazzi in Florence, and the Earl of Douglas in Scotland. However, if you primarily associate the word "defenestration" with the Defenestrations of Prague, that's probably because the word itself was created in 1620 to describe the First Defenestration of Prague.
