What can you tell me about these obsidian points?

From what I understand, they were found on the West side of the Sierra in Central California in a stream bed. One appears to be a clovis point? Are the others discarded mistakes or an older point design?

From the sources I utilized, they say 10,000 years old but that seems too old for that area???

Thanks

depending on the size of the coin, the one on the right looks like an arrowhead, but even then, it seems a little to large for one.

the one in the middle may be an arrowhead, but it seems too simple for that, maybe it was a hide scraper, or something domestic like that.

the left one looks like it may be a knife, or a spear head.

10,000 years is on the cusp of people getting to america, give or take a few thousand years, as, during the ice age, people could 'sail' and hunt along the coast of ice from europe to america.

i would guess that these are not discarded mistakes, obsidian was precious in the ancient world for the razor edge it could take and the black luster it it had (and of course the rarity).

edit: having said that about scrapers, scrapers tend to be single edged, whereas these artifacts all have double edges, so the scraper thing seems a little more unlikely.

maybe they are small spear heads along the lines of a bodkin arrowhead, big enough to kill but not so big it does too much 'damage'

or maybe they are small due to what they are made of.

have you considered donating them to a museum, or some such. a professional would be able to tell you about them more than the average redditor could.
