My friend sent me this one in a picture he took somewhere. I read it and wondered if it's true. But there are too many statements to look up, and I wonder if any historians well versed in the history of president Lincoln and president Kennedy could confirm or debunk the statements?

HAVE A HISTORY TEACHER EXPLAIN THIS IF THEY CAN:

Abraham Lincoln was Elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was Elected to Congress in 1946.

Lincoln was Elected president in 1860.
Kennedy was Elected president in 1960.

Both were particurlarly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost a child while living in the White House.
Both presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both presidents were shot in the head.

###NOW IT GETS WEIRD: Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln.

Both presidents were assassinated by southerners.
Both were succeeded by southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names were comprised of 15 letters.

###NOW HANG ON TO YOUR SEATS! Lincoln was shot at the theater named "Ford".
Kennedy was shot in a "Lincoln" car made by "Ford".

Both Booth and Oswald were asssassinated before their trials.

###HERE'S THE KICKER! A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

###BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Lincoln was shot in a theater, and the assassin ran to a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse, and the assassin ran to a theater.

Here's Snopes article on it. It has been deemed "false".

To summarize the article: While some of the things are accurate (such as election dates, etc.), they are pure coincidences and really not that remarkable or some things that are taken out of context or simplified to an extent that it becomes ridiculous. But in some cases, some things are out-right wrong, such as the following: Lincoln did not have a secretary named Kennedy. Booth was born in Maryland and thus technically not a southerner (just a sympathizer of the southern cause). He was also not born in 1839, but in 1838.
