Was there any effective resistance mounted against the Mongol empire or its successor states in the 13th and early 14th centuries?

I have heard of the battle of Ain Jalut where the Mongols were defeated by the Mamlukes, but I was wondering whether there were any other instances where the Mongols were stifled significantly.

the Delhi sultanate managed to resist the mongols and hold them off from the Indian interior.

as to why and how they were rebuffed, i submitted a somewhat similar question a year ago and it gave me some good and unexpected reasons for the mongols failure's, in particular was /u/Hedgehogsarepointy response in that thread.
