Try 'Son of Zeus' and 'In Ancient Times' both by L. Voronkova. I don't know if an English translation exists but it instantly sprang to mind.

The former is about his childhood, growing up and restoring order after his father's assassination. The latter is about his campaign into Asia and all the way up to his death.
