As you may know, Ask Historians has a rule about bringing up subjects less than 20 years old. Primarily this rule is intended to keep political discussion out of the mix. You may not get a good response to this post since it will tend to produce a political discussion.

As white_light-king suggested, your question falls afoul of our 20-year rule, which is intended to prevent political debates. It actually also breaks our rule against "poll-type" questions, because words like "better" or "worse" are inherently opinion-based. All of our rules for questions can be found here.
