What do we know about the Minoans?

It seems there isn't much, if anything, regarding the Minoans. So lets get the facts straight. What do we know about them?

A lot of what we know about the Minoans is derived from artworks and archaeological. For example, we know that Minoans used to practice a sport which involved jumping over a bull:

We know that they were not a pacifist society, because scenes of war and images of warrior were present in their art:

Through artwork we can guess their fashions and hair-styles:

The biggest obstacle is that we have yet to decipher their language which was first written in Hieroglyphs and later Linear A. Unless the Minoan equivalent of a Rosetta stone if unearthed, I don't see that changing.
