Can anyone recommend a good iTunes U course (or some other free audio) on European history?

From your question, I'm not sure what type of history or time period you are interested in, but John Merriman from Yale has an Open Yale Course called "European Civilization, 1648-1945," which is quite good. The University of Oxford has one called "First World War: New Perspectives," in which various historians weigh in on different methods of studying the Great War. Oxford also has another one, which tends to be more interdisciplinary, called "Ethics, Law and Armed Conflict." I hope this helps.
