A famous picture shows Donald Bradman (Australian cricket legend) meating Babe Ruth (American baseball legend), but did they actually know who each other were? If so, what did they think of each other, and more importantly, what did they think of each other's sports?
I've honestly never seen this picture. I'm assuming this is the one? Let me dig through a few newspaper archives and see if I can pull up any contemporary accounts.
I'll admit, I know little about cricket, other than some of the early baseball players were former cricketers.
EDIT: Why does my university have some of the most awful databases available? Or at least a terrible region/date selection in the great databases they do have? Sorry, I'm still working, but it ain't promising now.
There is this link from the South Australia library's Bradman Collection, but without any information on the paper, it's a bit difficult for me to find more. "Babes of the Woods Article" circa 1932
