When did World War I and II begin to be called by these names?

by DarwinianLoser

I of course know that initially WWI was known as "The War To End All Wars" and "The Great War" and various other very dire sounding titles, but when did the idea of a "world war" come into common use? And if it was before WWII, when was it recognized that this conflict was another world war?
