I can confidently tell you that as far as scholarship on the Historical Jesus goes, no historian believes that Jesus went to India.

One of the problems with the chapter you link to is that it makes several of these points but does not evidence them, with insufficient citation of either Buddhist sources or Christian ones. Several of the claims are vague and could be said of a wide variety of religious figures (the similar titles, teaching in parables). This is not a convincing case at all for the claim that Jesus went to India.
