EDIT: To specify, by organized crime I meant something similar to a mafia; all the posts about Crassus being evidence to at least one example of this existing. However, I meant this as a somewhat open-ended question, and appreciate all the discussion.
I think you need to define organized crime OP. Because there were pirate gangs, collegia which engaged in criminal activities, and Crassus' extortion racket (As previously noted). All of which were technically organized, and criminals in some fashion.
The smart people of /r/askhistorians could probably tell you accurately if you give a precise question.
