Were Hitler's ideas of a "superior race" and the perceived negatives of the Jewish people held only by a few Germans, or were they widely held beliefs that Hitler rallied around to gain power? To what extant were Hitler and his immediate circle lone actors as opposed to a reflection of German sentiment?
I wonder, have you seen the section of the FAQ called What did Germans think? It compiles many questions about what the reaction of the German public was to various facets of National Socialism and the War. Also, it assigns a grading system, so you know which questions received extensive answers, and which received no answer.
hope this helps!
