Any Major Differences in how US history is taught around the world?

Just curious how different aspects of our history are taught around the world and which topics may be more heavily studied than others

When I studied history to get into college I specialised in the economic factors behind Vietnam and the advances in weaponry/aeronautics at the time. We didn't care about personalities or culture all that much, just the facts behind the military industrial complex and stuff. As an Irish woman I know our history is not taught in England other than that we were ignorant potato eaters before they "liberated" us from poverty, and my best friend was never taught about WWII when she was brought up in Berlin. It'd be cool to see how america is portrayed by somewhere she conquered.
