A question on the Korean War

by Avarex

Hello historians of reddit, I'd like to know everything about the Korean War regarding foreign influences, what impacts did foreign influences have on the Korean War? If sources were cited, that would be great too

Well the Soviets and the Chinese both encouraged Kim-Il-Sung to invade South Korea and in the case of the Soviets basically built North Korea. The Soviets helped plan the invasion, sent technical, army, and industrial experts to aid North Korea, sent supplies, and even sent air squadrons and planes to the North. The Chinese physically joined the war as I'm sure you know. The West didn't aid South Korea like that until or really at all until after the Korean War.
