Well assuming you're talking about post ww2 conflicts only. Well there was the:
Hungarian Revolution:
Where Soviet troops invaded Hungary and overthrew a democratic government that had replaced the communist government.
The invasion of Czechoslovakia:
Where the Warsaw pact invaded to prevent the liberal reforms being instituted by Alexander Dubček.
The Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan:
This was an invasion of a country in order to install a friendly communist government.
These are instances where ground troops were actually used. The Soviets supplied dozens of countries who were fighting wars. So no Soviet aggression wasn't manufactured, it was a very real thing.
