I had saved this question to respond to when I got home, but the response I wanted to reply to was deleted, I suspect due to speculation. This photo is considered to be legitimate, at least in my personal experience with the subject matter, and is dated either 28/4 or 29/4 depending on who you ask-- what people do seem to agree on is that:

  • it was within 48 hours of Hitlers death
  • Hitler and Eva did not take any selfies before they died (excuse some brevity)

As for their remains, it is true that the remains of hitler, braun, and the Goebbels' were repeatedly buried, exhumed, moved, reburied, etc. over the next two decades or so. I find it highly unlikely that there were ever pictures taken with Hitlers' remains, as he was apparently only identifiable by some dental work that survived the fire. Goebbels was much less completely burned-- gasoline shortage as it was. They ended up getting pulverized, reincinerated, and scattered in a river somewhere in East Germany (I forget precisely where).
