Are the Geneva and Hague Conventions separate from one another or are they joined together?

Are the Geneva and Hague Conventions separate from one another or are they joined together? I only ask because the famous "Geneva Protocol" (banning bio-chemical weaponry) is in the Hague Conventions and they both address war time regulations on an international scale. Are the Hague conventions written inside the Geneva Conventions or are they separate from one another?

No, they are a separate agreement. The convention, which governed the conducts of combatants and certain type of weapons in the battlefield, was signed at The Hague, therefore making it "The Hague Convention". Another convention, which governed the treatment of POWs, wounded, sick, and shipwrecked combatants in the field and at sea, and civilians in occupied territory, was signed in Geneva, therefore making it "The Geneva Convention".

The Geneva Protocol is also basically a separate agreement as well, which bans the use of chemical and biological weapons in warfare. Each agreement is separate.
