Did Hitler's Constant Micro Management of WW2 ever have any positive effects?

by Spartan706

Many sources suggest Hitler's constant micro management of his generals, the battles, and overall military decisions almost always ended up in disaster. Is there any point in which a decision he made turned out for the better?

The 'no retreat' order during the winter of 1941-42 was considered by some of his generals to be crucial in holding together the German forces on the Eastern front, despite causing massive losses to be taken.

As a sort of side question on this; I have heard that part of the problem with the German high command was that there was no one, besides Hitler, with overall authority. He seemed to have been paranoid about anyone usurping power so he set up a complicated command structure that sometimes overlapped and sometimes spread out commands over units often making it difficult for more coordinated, overall, planning. Is this accurate and how would that have worked?
