The Hawker Hurricane and the Spitfire for instance, both carried 300 rounds of ammunition for each of its guns (a total of 8 guns/airplane). The F4F wildcat carried 400 rounds for each of its 4 guns. The Japanese A6M2 carried 1360 rounds of machine gun ammunition, and 120 rounds of 20mm cannon ammunition.
