I don't believe so. Plays were attended by lower class people often times, which is why the Globe Theater is often described as noisy because people would mock and jeer at bad actors or bad plays. People also would eat, drink, and talk during performances. Someone else would have to answer what they thought of Greek plays but things like Shakespeare were popular entertainment. I do know that middle and upper class people would often pay to sit in boxes above the general rabble at the theater. The fact such boxes existed shows that the "high/low" cultural divide wasn't so clear that the wealthy wouldn't go see plays.
