I'm looking to major in history in college due to my love for it and would like to know some jobs that historians can get depending on field of study, level of education, etc.
Look at BeyondAcademe.com (written by a former History Ph.D). No matter what the STEM majors on Reddit will tell you, being able to analyze documents, write very well, and draw conclusions are skills most people simply don't have.
Since you asked about employment prospects at different levels of education, here is a very recent study of employment outcomes for history PhDs: http://www.historians.org/teaching-and-learning/current-projects/career-diversity-for-historians/the-many-careers-of-history-phds
Most PhDs end up teaching, but some also went on to careers in administration, government, business, archival work, etc.
Check out our FAQ page. There are a bunch of similar questions.
