It was certainly common for Romans to use led tablets to send curses to the gods, and was practiced across the entirety of Rome. I mention that part because it was also common for Romans to acclimate local gods into their own pantheon. For example, in Bath, England many such tablets where found invoking Sulis.

"I have given to the goddess Sulis the six silver coins which I have lost. It is for the goddess to exact [them] from the names written below: Senicianus and Saturninus and Anniola."[21]

Sulis was a local Celtic god associated with spring there that the local Romans incorporated to their own religion.
