This week's Episode:

This is Part 1 of a lengthy interview I recorded with /u/400-Rabbits, primarily focusing on the Aztec Conquest. Personally, I'm really proud of this episode. Rabbits absolutely blew me away with his ability to answer my constant little side questions, and it was a lot of fun to put together. Hopefully youse get as much out of it as I did.

Also I want to thank /u/thefush for donating a decent microphone. I was only able to record the intro & outro with it, but it's a significant upgrade to my old set-up, so thanks a stack man!

Anyway, please ask any followup questions in this thread. Also feel free to leave any feeback on the format and so on.

Coming up next week: Part Two of The Aztec Conquest; an interview with /u/400-Rabbits.

Is that what my voice sounds like? Weird.

I am of course available for follow-up questions and clarifications, such as:

  • "Did you mean the 'early 1400s' for when the Aztec Empire was founded?" Yes, yes I did. Numbers are difficult.

  • "Why did you say the Spanish were interesting in sailing further East?" Direction are also difficult.

  • "I think you meant Martín Cortés inherited Cortés' Mexican lands, not Martín Cortés." These names are particularly difficult.

After listening to this I thought "You know, it would be great to have a forum to listen to 400-Rabbits tell more stories". Then I realized that I already do!
