I am an English teacher and I will be teaching my class about Julian of Norwich. I'm interested to know how different her ideas about "God as love" were from the established doctrine of the church in the Late Middle Ages. From what I can gather, she wouldn't have bothered writing down her ideas unless they were radical for the time. What was the Church teaching people during her life?
