How much did the Roman settlement of Britian (43-409) influence the Celts, Saxons, and the Picts that lived there?

The Saxons came in large numbers around 450-500 AD. So the Saxons were not there.

Sorry, I just have to correct you on one thing. The Celts is a cultural/linguistic group which used to spread across most of Europe. The three main Celtic groups within the British Isles at the time was: the Britons (England,Wales, Southern Scotland), Gaels (Ireland, a small part of Western Scotland), and the Picts (rest of Scotland).

One of the biggest influences the Romans had which is still felt across the British Isles today is religion, Christianity. The Romans brought it over to Britannia during the 4th century. Britonic and Roman missionaries then spread Christianity across the Irish Sea to Ireland (St. Patrick).

According to "The Story of Wales" the Romans also influenced the local language. Today some words in Welsh have Latin roots like Ffenestr (window) and bont (bridge).
