I'm taking a course in Modern Art now, and we are covering late 19th century French art (mostly Impressionism). My professor mentioned in passing that she has written books and articles on the role of feminism in that time period. I'm extremely interested in both 19th century France and feminism, not to mention Art History, so the intersection of these three topics is really exciting. My professor recommended some articles and books which I plan on reading. However, going in, I'd like to have a general overview of the whole situation. Thank you!
