The Lex Salica is often attributed to Clovis and forms the basis for subsequent Frankish law. It is a mixture of old Roman law and Germanic customs. That would probably be the best primary source to start with and I know there's a lot of secondary sources that cover it too. I might have some on the shelf, I'll recommend anything good once I check.
