I know that Josef Mengele liked to do a lot of studies on identical twins. What discoveries, or even inventions, if any, spawned from his research, as well as the research of other doctors and scientists?
See my answer here. While datasets for things were added that didn't exist before, nothing of value was "discovered". We always knew people would die if frozen, we just didn't know how fast, for example.
