How did the Reformation change Europe?

If you could answer in list form that would be great. Thanks!

Reformation caused a whole lot of proverbial shit to hit the fan in Europe

  1. Caused "Christendom" (in quotes because I discount all non-Catholic christians) to be fractured permanently forever

  2. Resulted in the 30 Years War (which was arguably one of the worst wars to hit the continent of Europe since the fall of the Roman Empire)

  3. Resulted in the Counter-Reformation and the Catholic Church trying to reform itself

  4. Gave people another reason to flee to the Americas & allowed for some Protestant nations; looking at you Britain & Netherlands, to exert control over these colonies for a piece of the American pie (ba dum tiss)

  5. This is looking way farther down the line but still important: caused the religious turmoil in northern ireland/Britain & catholic ireland

  6. The attitude of questioning the status quo had been allowed to take root and would spread to other fields as well, especially science (allowing for the scientific revolution)

  7. Finally put an end to the Catholic Church's meddling in the political sphere of Europe

  8. Resulted in the foundations of the separation of church in state in some instances to maintain stability (Edict of Nantes was a good stepping stone at trying to promote religious unity rather than hegemony)

  9. French Wars of Religion which tore apart France for a while

  10. Continuing from 30 Years War; Peace of Augsburg was pretty important along with the Diet of Worms in condemning Luther and subsequently spreading his "infamous" ideas farther

there is probably more that I'm missing but
