Are there any historical examples of an army causing a man-made "natural" disaster to attack the opposing side?

During the second Sino-Japanese war, as Japan was invading China the Chinese leader Chian Kai Shek ordered the dikes on the Yellow River blown up to cause a flood which slowed the Japanese advance. It was also later blown up again during the Chinese civil war.
