Any accessible source of enigma coded messages?

by [deleted]

My friends and I are coding an enigma simulation as a high school project and are looking for historical examples of plain messages and their encrypted form with known initial parameters to test if our simulation works. I am sorry if this isn't exactly the right type of question for this subreddit, but I didn't know where else to ask it...

First off, fantastic project! What are you coding the simulator in?

A couple questions though, what version of the Enigma are you simulating? Are you doing only rotors or the plugboard also? Are you accounting for all eight possible wheels or only three? I'm guessing your either simulating the M3 or M4. But obviously the messages that you can decode depend on what you're simulating.

Here are a couple pages with examples of messages along with the necessary machine settings for decrypt.

You might also be served by putting your own messages into an already existent simulator and using that to validate your simulator.
