I am very sorry to have to delete this question.
Sadly, this question is what we call a "poll type" question. They tend to generate lots answers containing bits of trivia, but not really any focused, in-depth answers. We as mods often end up deleting a whole bunch of answers that don't meet the standards of AskHistorians.
Now, this is not really fair to you. It's not your responsibility for what people reply with. You just want some info for fun stuff to read about.
If you are stuck, and you really don't have an idea where to start any study of history, you could ask this in the Friday Free-for-all feature. The rules are relaxed in there, but there still tends to be a high proportion of helpful comments.
Or, you could browse the book list and visit your library to pull some introductory books in some of the categories.
But the very best thing you can do is narrow it down to a topic you are interested in. If you could say "I want to learn more about the history of the Ottoman Empire, what books should I read" that question would be allowed, because it has a tight focus that allows for a comprehensive answer, rather than several very incomplete answers.
