However, to give you a proper answer if there is any situation in history where the information we have of it in our history books is from the losers: Yes. There is one situation which I am certain you know of: The Vietnam War. Since Vietnam since 1975 have been a dictatorship, Vietnamese sources (primary and secondary) have been very difficult in being acquired by western historians.
