I mean saber fighting specifically, also have their been any modern attempts to revive it? What are the differing styles? How are they different?
I assume you mean a more formal and trained version of saber combat? I ask because it would be a bit different from something I'm more familiar with - period ship-ship boarding melee combat.
Do you mean fighting in a battle, or just for sport? There was recently a post about the reality of swords in historic battles, and it was basically complete chaos.
