How do Pakistani people view Ghandi?

by [deleted]

I'm asking because the British Colony of India was basicly 3 countries in todays sense (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) so basicly, Ghandi is part of Pakistans history too... am I right? Or am I completely off here?

The PAK middle class i had some contact to is rather fond of Gandhi, particularly because of his final days.

You might want to look into the courtroom apologia of his former associate and assassin Nathuram Godse. It is regarded as the tipping point in the Cold War between India and Pakistan, very much akin to the Iron Curtain speech of Winston Churchill.
