I just found out my grandfather served in the 4th Armored Division in WWII, what is the best way for me to get more information so I can have a better idea of what he experienced in the war?

I'd be grateful for any information -- the best books on his division, ways I can possibly track my grandfather's service, etc. Thanks in advance.

Not to be a smartass, but an internet search engine is a great place to begin.

It took me typing a search and copying and pasting the link, 15 seconds?

The entire and official history of the United States Army during WW2 is available for free online.
