I came across this chart today. It seems pretty detailed but I was wondering if there were any incorrect connections, major gaps, or inaccuracies?
The largest issue I have with it (there are many issues) is that it seems to imply that when a religion branches out, its predecessor dies. For example, it looks like after Christianity is formed, that's the end of Judaism. While many Christians might agree with that, it's not good data viz.
I'm not extremely versed in religion, but the presence of "Nostratic pantheism" leaps out at me, and makes me doubt the chart. The word 'nostratic' originates from the hypothetical Nostratic language family, which includes all the Indo-European, Afro-Asiatic, and several other languages. It is disputed by the vast majority of linguists. It's hard enough just reconstructing proto-Indo-European.
Gnosticism did not really exist in 100 BCE. While it was influenced by Neo Platonism, it is a branch of early Christianity, and there are no Gnostic texts that predate Christianity.
Most charts like this, which attempt to condense an extraordinary vast and complex thing like the world's religions into some pretty lines and symbols, are almost guaranteed to have errors.
The top part isn't any better.
On the left you've got Russian neo-pagans ("Rodnovery") featured together with their slightly modified nazi swastika which, for some reason, is also used for "Slavic Polytheism".
