What is the definitive guide to the battle of Stalingrad?

Any media especially some subjective literature would be great. I'm sorry if this question is stupid but I would love to read more and you'all the ones reading the most!

Stalingrad by Antony Beevor is very good and readable.

Antony Beevor's book on the battle which /u/MeneMeneTekelUpharsi already mentioned is an excellent place to start! I find Beevor to be very accessible in his writing style without dumbing down the content.

David Glantz is also a very well respected historian on the Eastern Front, and recently completed a trilogy devoted solely to the battle. I haven't read it yet, but based on his other works, I have no qualms about recommending it if you are looking for a very in depth treatment.

Stalingrad: How the Red Army Triumphed by Michael Jones and Glantz's books (To the Gates of Stalingrad, Armageddon in Stalingrad, Endgame at Stalingrad Parts 1 and 2, and the companion book with maps and documents) are the best English language books on the topic. Stopped at Stalingrad is also a good book on the air war.
