It's difficult to trace the origins of Egyptian cults and gods. Lion-headed goddesses in particular are incredibly numerous, some dating back to the pre-dynastic period. It is possible that her cult LASTED longer than Christianity, however, native Egyptian religion died out around the 6th century when the last temple of Isis was closed at Philae.
