Did Oaxaca participate in long distance trade before the formation and rise of Monte Alban? What kinds of goods did they trade for?

it kind of depends to what you are calling Oaxaca, I mean, the modern state is comprised of several regions, each with unique trajectories. There is evidence of trade with central Mexican polities since there is no obsidian sources native to the state of Oaxaca. At least for the coast, Chatinos were exchanging a plethora of marine resources, as well as tierra caliente products like cacao, and cotton.
