Ive heard it was as high as 600, which find hardly believeable, so i ask you historic redditors.
According to En nooit was het stil the number of lost German planes was 341. Unfortunately this number is only mentioned in the introduction and no break-down in causes or types of aircraft is made. The number would include losses from Dutch fighters and AA (of which there was quite a lot), but i don't know whether it includes losses from botched landings and aircraft destroyed on the ground.
The Germans had tried to knock the Netherlands out of the war even more quickly than they actually did, with an airborne invasion. This involved a lot of transports landing troops around The Hague, unfortunately for them the preceding paratroopers had failed to secure the airports, which left the transports vulnerable.
