I'm looking to learn more about northern ireland and the troubles specifically. I'd like something relatively unbiased, i want to read it for a class project, however it can be as explicit as necessary.

I'm on my phone so this is an incomplete list but a decent place to start.

  • THE IRA, by Tim Pat Coogan

  • Unsung Hero: How I Saved Dozens of Lives as a Secret Agent Inside the IRA, by Kevin Fulton

  • 50 Dead Men Walking, by Martin McGartland

  • A Secret History of the IRA, by Ed Moloney

  • The Secret Army: The IRA, by J. Bowyer Bel

  • After the Peace: Loyalist Paramilitaries in Post-Accord Northern Ireland, by Carolyn Gallagher

  • Voices from the Grave: Two Men's War in Ireland, by Ed Moloney

  • Ten Men Dead, by David Beresford

This is just a quick start but these will give you the information and a range of topics within the Troubles. What, specifically, is the class project? Might be able to better direct you, even if it is just within these books, if we know what type of information can best help.
