Who is this statue supposed to be?

by jtarkin

I found this in the clubhouse where I live. I can't seem to find much information on the statue when searching, other than information about the company itself.

My first guess is it's supposed to be Socrates, but he's usually depicted as being bald.

TL;DR: Who is this statue supposed to be?

Definitely a philosopher, but it may not be a named philosopher. It looks like its in a quasi-Classical style, but the ancients didn't tend to put the hand in front of the mouth like that.

So, honestly, I don't think it's really a genuine portrait of Socrates or Plato. Other users might be able to be more specific, but that's how it looks to me.
