I'd suggest to flesh out your question. Please clarify: In what way do you consider Hitler ignorant? While most certainly a racist and bigot, Hitler was never ignorant when it came to his enemies, rivals, and taking his chances. He was cunning. However he was notoriously ill-informed about the world outside of Germany and Europe, and definitely not a highly educated man in the formal sense. -- Is it that what you are referring to?
Personally, I think Hitler was very cunning. Not smart necessarily but he was highly adept at tapping into a national mood. He understood completely the frustration of the German people of being humiliated and diminished. He also came up with some of the solutions that they wanted, he rebuilt German national prestige and its devastated economy. He was a brilliant speech maker and self publicist. But his attitudes to women, Jews, disabled people -- this makes him ignorant (psycopathic, twisted and evil) in the extreme by any standard, even those of the middle 20th century.
