If we had never discovered the Rosetta stone, would we still have deciphered Egyptian hieroglyphs?

I know that by matching the hieroglyphs to the other languages depicted on the Rosetta stone we were able to finally make huge headway in a complete understanding of ancient Egyptian language. My question just boils down to where would we be if there was no Rosetta stone?
