Well Egypt never really kept slave, maybe they bought and sold personal slave in the old kingdom as many servants were sacrificed and buried with the kings. But most monuments like the temples and Pyramids were build by a skilled workforce who got paid had wages, entire villages and towns are found around these ancient work sites that include Warehouse, Granary, Bakery so basically place where the workers would live with their family, get food and other basic necessities. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/jan/11/great-pyramid-tombs-slaves-egypt You will find many articles like these and hundreds of Documentary that invalidates the myth of Slaves building Pyramid or Great temples. I am the reason most people think Egyptians enslaving people are from the Bible but most Egyptologist Agree now that the builders were paid workers.
