What brought about the establishment of the Mughal Empire?

Could you perhaps elaborate on this. Do you mean what started it ?

Well that would be the battle of panipat in 1526. Which took place between Babur and Lodi (a local Indian ruler of Delhi and the surrounding area). Babur only had around 12k men, and Lodi had over 30k and a great many elephants. However Babur had one key advantage. He had muskets and some very basic field artillery. He was also very good military tactician. He secured both his flanks. One with the town of Panipat, and the other with trenches. In front of his army he positioned carts tied together. In between the gaps he placed his musket men.

When the battle started Lodis elephants charged at Babur's position. His men stayed disciplined and fired all their muskets and artillery at the same time. The noise scared the elephants and many turned and charged straight back at lodi's position. The stampead killed thousands of Lodi's troops, scattered many men, took the elephants out the game and generally evened the playing field. With numbers a little more evenly matched the firepower became a massive advantage and Babur won a decisive victory. Lodi was killed in the battle as were over 15k of his men.
